Description: This one-day seminar is an 8-hour instructor led course offered by Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), Center for Development of Security Excellence (CDSE). The course provides opportunity to discuss, practice, and apply foundational National Industrial Security Program (NISP) requirements in a collaborative classroom environment.

Learning Outcomes: This course is designed to enable students to:

? Build professional relationships to support an effective security program ? Develop an effective security education program ? Understand a DD Form 254 ? Identify assets ? Conduct a thorough self-inspection of a cleared facility

Delivery Method: Instructor led Length: 1 Days Target Audience: Facility Security Officers, industry security professionals, DCSA Industrial Security Representatives, DoD Industrial Security Specialists, and others with National Industrial Security Program responsibilities. Prerequisites: Successfully completion of the Facility Security Officer (FSO) Role in the NISP IS023.16 NOTE: In November 2015, the prerequisite "FSO Role in the NISP" course and exam were updated. In order to register for the instructor-led "Getting Started Seminar for New FSOs" course, you must first complete the current version of the course and exam. Completion of any previous versions WILL NOT be accepted. Credits Recommended/Earned
