NEW POLICIES AND PROCEDURES in 2014/15

• Lunch price increases to $2.15.

• New Dress Code.

• New Attendance Policy.

• Changes in Graduation Requirements for 9th and 10th grade.

• A schedule for Chrome Books distribution will be available soon.

• General Education courses. In addition to required Core Courses (Math, English, Science and Social Studies) all students are required to successfully complete a number of other courses.

Because of the limited courses, and the need to maintain high enrollments, students may be assigned to these courses based on availability rather than choice.

DRIVERS LICENSE HELP

Through an on-line partnership with Driving-, Central students preparing for their permit test can take practice tests by logging on to the their site at . Available practice tests include 7 versions of the permit test, Fines and Limits test and a Signs and Situations test. Motorcycle permit practice tests are also available.

Keystone Exam Results

Keystone Exam results in Algebra I, Biology and Literature will be distributed as soon as possible.

CONGRATULATIONS! to those students who scored “proficient” or “advanced” on the tests and have met the Pennsylvania State graduation requirement.

Students who did NOT score at that level will be assigned some level of remediation to prepare for another attempt at the Exam either this winter or spring.

Specifics will be discussed with students at the Second Day class meetings.

TAKE NOTE!

--Yearbooks for 2013/14 are expected to arrive shortly! Watch the school website and the Morrisons Cove Herald for announcements.

--Juniors and seniors planning on taking either the ACT or SAT should check for dates and registration deadlines in the Guidance Office.

--School nurses will be measuring and weighing students during the first four weeks of school.
