INDIANA REAL ESTATE COMMISSION

December 07, 2006

I. CALL TO ORDER & ESTABLISHMENT OF QUORUM

Commissioner Reed called the meeting to order at 10:15 a.m. in Conference Center Room 19 of the Indiana Government Center-South, 402 West Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204 and declared a quorum, in accordance with IC § 25-34.1-2-3(b).

Committee meetings were held beginning at 9:00 a.m. The chairman stated that the rules committee would meet immediately following the adjournment of the Real Estate Commission

III. ADVISORY COUNSEL’S REPORT

No report was made by the advisory council

IV. INDIANA ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE

The Indiana Attorney General’s office provided an update on the processing of consumer complaints.

V. OLD/NEW BUSINESS

A. Order to the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency from the Indiana Department of Child Services to Suspend the following licenses: David R. Snyder

No action was taken on this item pending further instructions from the Department of Child Services

B. Compliance by companies with on-line Continuing Education to comply with the necessary hours

The Commission discussed the importance of distance Continuing Education Providers to adhere to the instruction time requirements. They directed the Attorney General’s office to investigate allegations of providers not adhering to this statute.

C. Investigative Fund Report

Mr. Rhoad provided an update of the investigative fund.

D. Approval of using investigative funds for the hiring of a litigation clerk

Mr. Rhoad requested the Commission approve using investigative funds to hire a litigation clerk. Mr. Shook made a motion and it was seconded by Mr. Doyle to allow the Indiana Professional Licensing agency to proceed.
