Thrombosis of the dural sinuses and/or cerebral veins (CVT) is an unusual cause of stroke but should be considered as a potential cause of cerebral infarction and of intracerebral hemorrhage. CVT causes approximately 0.5-1% of all strokes. The diagnosis of cerebral venous thrombosis is based on clinical suspicion, along with imaging confirmation. ................
