We set bold goals and deliver results, balancing discipline, creativity and entrepreneurialism.The Opportunity:As a result of business growth, we have an opportunity for a Payroll, Benefits & HRMS Specialist to join the team. Reporting to the VP President, Human Resources, you will be responsible for Canadian and U.S. payroll, benefits and HRMS functions and provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.You will accurately collect, compile, enter, validate and reconcile semi-monthly payroll data, in accordance with established deadlines and process new hires, terminations, transfers and promotions. You will manage and maintain comprehensive payroll records and complete year-end payroll processing for Canada and the U.S., ensuring compliance with all federal, provincial and state regulations and guidelines.You will process employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, statement reconciliations, and benefit related payroll changes and determine eligibility for benefits, as well as update benefits information in the HRMS and with the benefit provider. You will administer the HRMS, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee and human resource data, considering privacy and security implications. You will input and maintain data, and assist with reporting and inquiries. You will complete system year-end tasks and annual processes, as well as provide training for new employees and managers in self-service applications.Qualifications and experience:You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in a related program, and 4 - 6 years of related experience, or equivalent.Additional requirements include:Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated flexibility coping effectively with change and managing priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating impeccable judgement and discretion in handling confidential information.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders and build relationships of trust and committed to providing superior client service.Proactive and results-oriented with the ability to take initiative.Sound analytical skills; able to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to demonstrate broad and general knowledge in human resource management principles and legislation. Familiarity with workplace legislation (Workers’ Compensation Act, Employment Standards Act, Human Rights Code).Experience and knowledge of HRMS; Ceridian Dayforce is an asset.Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Word and Excel.This is a fantastic opportunity with a leader in the real estate finance industry, positioned for continued growth.
