|The 2nd Annual LuCIS Symposium will highlight recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of lung diseases, critical illness, and sleep disorders. National |
|and local experts in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine will discuss various topics, guidelines, and cutting edge technology for these conditions. They|
|will also emphasize when referral to a specialist and tertiary care facility is indicated. |

|OBJECTIVES OF COURSE: (BEHAVIORALLY STATED) |
|Upon completion of this symposium, participants should be able to: |
|1. Recognize and treat pumonary diseases such as COPD, pulmonary hypertension, and lung cancer. |
|2. Improve the recognition of ventilator-associated pneumonia and provide appropriate treatments |
|3. Improve overall care of ICU patients, including family engagement, to decrease delirium and hospital length of stay |
|4. Recognize sleep apnea and provdie state-of-the-art care |
