INTRODUCTION

The following pages contain the compensation program for the State of New Jersey Executive Branch for Fiscal Year 2022. When a salary adjustment is not specifically authorized by the Fiscal Year 2022 Salary Regulations, or by a specific allowance such as clothing or maintenance set by a labor agreement, or by a rule contained in N.J.A.C. Title 4A, such salary adjustment may be made only if approved by the Chair/Chief Executive Officer, Civil Service Commission, and the Director, Office of Management and Budget, as provided in Section 4(A). Salary Regulations shall be cited as SR. The citation to a particular section shall include the Fiscal Year, the numerical designation of the Section and the appropriate letter to which reference is made. Example: Payment of a teacher's educational incentive would be cited as: SR21:3G. The only Salary Regulations currently in effect are those contained in this document. All Salary Regulations issued in previous fiscal years are repealed and are no longer in effect.
