How to Set Up a New User in SLDCADA

To set up a new user in SLDCADA we must have the certificate name (CN) from the CAC card.

Have the employee do the following:

1. Go to sldcada.disa.mil

2. Under the Tools section click DoD PKI/CAC Certificate Status Tool

3. Click "Send an e-mail to your SA"

4. Enter my email address (kay.briscoe@usmc.mil) in the 'to' box.

I will receive the email and load the profile record.

To access SLDCADA it is best to create a desktop shortcut.

1. Right click anywhere on the desktop.

2. Click New

3. Click Shortcut

4. Enter sldcada.disa.mil/sldm2720 in the box

5. Click Next

6. Enter SLDCADA in the box

7. Click Finish

To access SLDCADA, just double click the shortcut on the desktop.

In Internet Explorer

Click Tools.

Click Internet Options.

Click the Advanced tab.

Uncheck the box "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts."

Check the box "Use HTTP 1.1."

Check the box "Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections."

Uncheck the box "Do not save encrypted pages to disk."

Click OK.

(If you have problems connecting, follow the recommended Internet Settings.)
