Cook Jr. - Houston Independent School District

A Note from Your School Counselor…Dear Families, Welcome to Felix Cook Jr. Elementary! I am excited to introduce myself as your child’s school counselor. I believe that all people, regardless of age, strive toward self-direction and growth - AND - that we all need connection and belonging. When I work with students, families, teachers, and other school community members, I aim to cultivate meaningful relationships that are facilitative to those guideposts. The goal of the counseling program at our school is to provide programs and services that enhance the educational process for each of our students. A list of program materials and guidance curriculum is included in this brochure. Should you wish to preview these items or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Communication with families is very important to me. I truly enjoy and appreciate hearing from families. Please contact me with any questions, concerns, progress, and/or good stories about your child that you may wish to share. I look forward to working with all of the students and parents at Felix Cook Jr. Elementary.Best Regards,Jasmine Henderson, CounselorDevelopmental Guidance & Counseling ProgramClassroom Core Curriculum Lessons are taught to all grades levels: preventative, developmentally appropriate, and address academic, personal, social & career growth.
