Each body paragraph must include a minimum of three pieces of evidence that are analyzed/explained. Review the rubric for the assignment on the reverse side. Your Objective will be to provide an in-depth analysis of the text and its elements to support a point you are making in response to your chosen prompt.Option One: How are fear, hysteria, and revenge important elements within The Crucible? Support your thesis by providing evidence (quotes/dialogue/actions/descriptions), and explain how and why fear, hysteria, and revenge are significant to the theme of the text.Option Two:Contemplate the characterization (method the author uses to reveal or describe characters and their personalities) Arthur Miller creates throughout the play. Select one character and think of specific qualities, traits or personality attributes that the character embodies. Think about what motivates the character’s actions and how the character treats and views others/self. Do these traits remain constant throughout the play? Are there internal or external conflicts that transform the character? Also consider both the inward and outward identities that people have. Is this character…Static-one that does not undergo an important change in the course of the story, remaining essentially the same at the end as he/she was at the beginning. Dynamic-in contrast, is one that undergoes an important change in the course of the story. The changes being "undergone" are not changes in circumstances, but changes within the character-changes in insight, understanding, commitment, or values. Round-one who is complex and perhaps even contradictory. E. M. Forster put it succinctly, "The test of a round character is whether it is capable of surprising in a convincing way." If a flat character can be summed up in a sentence or two, a round character would probably take an essay.Flat-someone who is characterized by one or two traits. Then find at least three quotes/dialogue/actions/ descriptions to support/demonstrate the character’s trait. Explain/analyze how each quote supports and proves the character’s traits. Option Three:Explain how The Crucible is an allegory to The Red Scare. Then compare and contrast the two events (stories) by examining the following elements: consequences, victims, setting, reasoning, evidence, etc. ................
