SENATOR “MAC” MIDDLETON JOINS BEL ALTON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TO ANNOUNCE STATE DENTAL GRANT FOR UNDERSERVED CHILDREN IN SOUTHERN MARYLAND

(Waldorf, MD) – Senator Thomas “Mac” Middleton will join the Bel Alton High School Community Development Corporation to announce a two-year, $250,000 dental grant from the Maryland Community Health Resources Commission (CHRC) at a press event on Monday, February 20 at 10:00 am in Bel Alton’s offices (9501 Crain Highway). The grant will help support a dental program at Bel Alton’s Health/Wellness and Dental Center and will provide oral health screening, treatment, and education and outreach services for Southern Maryland. In addition to this grant to Bel Alton, the CHRC has awarded 20 grants, totaling $4.2 million, to expand dental services in the state, which have collectively served more than 34,000 low-income Marylanders with 80,000 dental visits.
