The newly updated QCSHP website includes a calendar of events, quarterly newsletters, biographies of 2016 officers and committee chairs/liaisons, board meeting minutes, job/volunteer opportunities, and photo albums of past social events. In addition, news bulletins on pharmacy practice-related issues are posted in the QCSHP website.QCSHP Board PoliciesThe QCSHP Organizational Affairs Co-Chairs (Helen Park and Jenny Hong) prepared a “QCSHP Board Policies” document that was approved by QCSHP Board members during calendar year 2016. A total of 5 policies were included in the document: (1) board member duties and responsibilities; (2) alternate CSHP delegates; (3) CSHP delegate reimbursement process; (4) reimbursement policy; and (5) investment policy.QCSHP STP’S (Situation, Target, Proposal)A total of 2 STP’s were approved by QCSHP Board members during calendar year 2016:Re-affirm QCSHP’s Investment Policy with modificationAlign QCSHP’s activity calendar with that of the Peninsula Pharmacist Organization (PPA)QCSHP Treasurer’s ReportThe QCSHP Treasurer (Betty Lee) reported the following balances on November 30, 2016:Checking Account, Bank of America: $7,145.37Savings Account, Bank of America: $32,863.17Investment Account, Charles Schwab: $20,982.67Total balance on 12/12/2016: $60,298.77 (after cutting 2 checks on 12/4 and 12/12)The QCSHP Treasurer prepared the QCSHP 2017 budget that was approved by QCSHP Board members during the October 12th Board meeting. Proposed income categories included (1) membership dues/rebates; (2) interest & dividends from money market and savings accounts; (3) capital gain Charles Schwab; (4) CE programs; (5) chapter grant; (6) clinical affairs; (7) installation banquet; (8) miscellaneous; (9) Night Out with Industry; and (10) QCSHP reserve.
