Aannual import of apples has mostly been twelve to thirteen thousand tons, in the years of a lean harvest even more. The preferred sender was Poland. A quarter to one third of imported apples come from Poland, in the year 2005 the amount was even 54%. The reason is the cheap price of the Polish apples: in 2008 the declared price 6.13 EEK/kg. ................
