Any clinical support staff giving other team members flu shots that are NOT:On a patient flu shot scheduleHaving their flu shot given to them at an office visitThe clinical support staff (CSS) must log into the MDBRK EOHS flu shot(EOHS Flu) Dept.Log in Dept. ScreenClick on the red Epic buttonClick on the Appts optionEpic drop down menuPatient look up window will appear, type in employee name and click findFrom the Scheduling desk, click on the Walk In buttonAppointment desk tool barThis will bring up the registration screen. Click the finish button on the bottom rightRegistration screenFill in your hard stops by:Enter a provider/resource of Flu, Employee(this will auto populate by clicking on the spyglass)Enter a visit type of Flu or Flu Mist(you will see these 2 options when you click on the spyglass)It will automatically choose the next time available, the CSS may change this time if needed.Click Schedule Schedule page for Employee flu clinicClick Accept on next screen confirming ApptOn check in Screen click Accept again. We are not collecting co-pays or do the CSS need to verify any insurance or demographic informationThe above process has placed the employee on the Employee Flu shot schedule. The CSS now needs to administer the vaccine.Go back to the scheduling home screenThe CSS should be able to view the Employee name, if not, try to click the refresh buttonClick on the flu clinic buttonSchedule home screenThe following screen will appear. Make sure to fill in all hard stops and pertinent information with the correct information. FYI: The lot number should auto populate in the live environment.When all hard stops and pertinent information is completed. Click AdministerFlu Clinic administration screenThis completes the flu shot process for this employeeFYI:When the CSS at [hospital name] completes the process this way, this allows for the vaccine information to flow to the OHM (employee health database), Epic and the MIIC.Administering the vaccine through the MDBRK Employee Flu Dept. stops any charges from generating for this employee.Clicking the administer button also closes the encounter. ................
