Updating to Office 365 on DROID Galaxy Stellar

With the pending upgrade to Office 365, the Droid will need to be updated. To update your device, you will need to remove your old email account (username@dot. or firstname.lastname@dot.) and add your new account domain name (firstname.lastname@dot.) by following these instructions:

1. Select the Menu button (Bottom Right button)

2. Tap Settings

3. Tap Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync (Under Accounts)

4. Tap account name (username@dot. or firstname.lastname@dot.)

5. Select Remove Account

6. Tap Remove account to Confirm

7. Tap Add account at bottom of screen.

• At ‘Add Account’ screen, tap Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync

• Enter: your Primary Email Address (firstname.lastname@dot.)

• Enter your DOT AD password (AD Password), tap Next

• You will receive prompt that Setup could not finish. Tap Edit details

• Enter your email address (firstname.lastname@dot.) in the Domain\username text box.

• Enter outlook. (remove dot.state.ny.us) in the Exchange Server text box,

• Ensure there is a Green check mark in “Use secure connection (SSL)”. If not, select it to place checkmark.

• Do NOT check ‘Accept all SSL certificates’

8. Tap Next.

9. At “Activation” screen, tap OK

10. At “Remote Security Administration:” screen, tap OK

11. At ‘Account options’ screen, verify that “Peak time schedule” and “Off-peak time schedule” are set to Push.

12. Verify that the following all are checked: Notify me when email arrives, Sync email, Sync contacts, Sync calendar, and Sync Task should be selected. (Period to sync email and Period to Sync Calendar can be changed if user wishes)

13. Tap Next.

14. Select activate at the device admin window

15. Type Office365 for account name.

16. Tap back button.

17. You should now be back at home screen

18. Updates complete!
