Hours of Work:Full time 36? hours per weekLocation:Faculty of Engineering, University Park, University of NottinghamReporting to:Dr Chris DoddsThe Purpose of the New Role:To lead the delivery of a project on realising the commercial potential of sustainable polymer manufacture though microwave processing. Main Responsibilities:To deliver research as part of a collaborative team and to ensure that specific research objectives are completed. To undertake research on the design and scale-up of sustainable chemical processes microwave processing.To support the chemical engineering design and scale up of chemical processes from laboratory to industrial scale for sustainable microwave processing applications.To write research papers for submission to journals and conferences and prepare progress reports on the results of research.To present the results of research at project progress meetings and at conferences.To assist in the co-ordination of the research and related administrative tasks, including liaising with external project collaboratorsTo provide assistance with supervision of doctoral students.This job description may be subject to revision following discussion with the person appointed and forms part of the contract of employment.Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & ExperienceEssentialDesirableQualifications/ EducationPhD, EngD (or shortly be due to complete) or equivalent in chemical or process engineering or a closely related disciplineFirst degree or equivalent in chemical, process engineering or a closely related discipline.
