Project Guidelines:

Based on your topic you will need to research the description, how it relates

to chemistry, chemical formulas for top five ingredients, how it relates to the real world, is it dangerous or organically friendly, and some other things depending on your topic. A general outline is below:

If you choose a topic:

Description

What chemicals/elements are involved? (Provide top 5 chemicals)

Any chemical reactions that take place (Is it supposed to do something or change something?).

Examples of it in action

Diagrams of how it works

Illustrations

Safety Considerations/Environmental Hazards

Bibliography of books, websites and illustrations

If you choose a career:

Description of the career

What chemicals/elements are involved?

Any chemical reactions that take place

Illustrations of people at work

How much education is required?

Where they would work…what they do all day

What kind of salary can they make?

Bibliography of books, websites and illustrations

Product descriptor

Once you have gathered your information, you will create a PowerPoint, Prezi, or Movie Maker presentation on your three chosen topics or careers. Your presentation should be no more than 7 minutes. While giving the presentation, you will not read from the slides so make crib sheets or note cards and rehears to finish the presentation in 7 minutes. Be prepared to answer questions about your topics/careers. Use the template provided on my website to create your PowerPoint. You may add to this PowerPoint; however the template provides an outline of the minimum expectations.
