Ron and Don’s Operation: Airlift Japan

SEATTLE, WA –News Talk 97.3 KIRO FM’s Ron Upshaw and Don O’Neill have launched Ron and Don’s Operation: Airlift Japan, a local campaign to aid 63 orphans in need of basic supplies in earthquake ravaged Japan.

After learning about the orphanage in an on-air conversation with former Everett resident Gemini Sanford, whose family is currently stationed with the US Navy in Japan, Ron and Don pledged to support the 35 boys and 28 girls in Misawa, Japan.

“When Gemini told us the heartbreaking story of these children on the verge of living without clothing, food and water, we knew it was time to mobilize the Ron and Don Nation to become world citizens and make a difference,” said Don O’Neill.

The community is encouraged to donate food and clothing to one of four locations by Sunday, April 3:
