To maintain understanding and knowledge of the needs of the market and ensure products and content are focused on customer needsTo represent CILIP at relevant sector events and boardsTo develop and maintain positive relationships with members, customers and all other stakeholdersTo manage and appraise direct reports, motivating them to achieve specific targets and objectives; identify their individual learning and development needs and ensure that these needs are met effectivelyTo promote CILIP membership through all activitiesTo oversee development, management and monitoring of budget plans for the work of the teamPerson specificationYou need to:Have knowledge and experience of the information, knowledge management and library sectorBe experienced in developing positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersHave experience of providing leadership across the team in the development of products and services in a not-for-profit environmentUnderstand the value of academic and vocational study, professional registration, professional standards and continuing professional developmentBe results driven with a strong customer focusPossess sound experience of managing budgets and demonstrating ROIDemonstrate a proven track record in people management, including supervision and supportBe an articulate and effective communicator with excellent written and verbal skillsYou will have:Experience in developing, delivering and monitoring effective projects Experience of using CRM systems and interrogating data and reportingA self-starter approach with the ability to monitor and maintain high quality standardsExcellent organisational experience with ability to manage own workload and those of others despite conflicting priorities to meet tight deadlinesExperience of supporting a successful team in achieving its goalsHelpful to have:A qualification in an information, knowledge management or library subjectCoaching skillsAugust 2021 ................
