Child Development – Important Details:

Unit Folder:

For each unit you will receive note taking sheets and handouts.

You will be required to keep all materials for the unit together in a folder.

Each folder will be turned in for credit at the end of the unit.

DO NOT THROW ANYTHING AWAY! SAVE ALL WORK FOR END OF TERM FINAL!!

Late Work:

If absent, you are responsible for getting any assignments and will be given the number of days absent to turn in work. You will not lose credit for late work due to absences.

All other late work will be given half credit.

Once we have moved onto another unit – we will not take work from past units.

Daily Participation Expectations

Your participation in class is essential to getting the most from this course. We ask these things from you each day…

• Come to class on time

• Be prepared - with notebook, pen, class packet and other supplies

• Actively participate in class activities

• Be respectful of both teacher and classmates

• SHOW A POSITIVE ATTITUDE ( (

Grading categories:

Daily work 50% of your grade

Tests, Quizzes and Projects 30% of your grade

Homework 20% of your grade

Grading Scale:

94-100% A 77-79% C+

90-93% A- 74-76% C

87-89% B+ 70-73% C-

84-86% B 65-69% D

80-83% B- 64.9% and lower F

77-79% C+
