Lord God, you have shown us such love, and stretched out your arms to

draw us into your embrace. Yet, we so often fail to show that love within our lives, recognize its source, and pass it on.

Forgive our short-sightedness for the times we have failed to see your love in the generosity of friend or stranger, failed to be the shoulder to cry on, a willing ear to listen, a word of encouragement, holding a hand, going that extra mile. Forgive us for failing to notice how much you care for us. Help us remember and become your presence in this world. Amen.

THE PRAYER JESUS TAUGHT Our Father (Creator, Mother), who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
