PRICING UPDATEoctober 12, 2018Dear burton + BURTON? Customer,?As publicized in the news, US trade negotiations are currently ongoing worldwide. China, in particular, is one of the countries for which new tariffs are being imposed on US inbound goods. The United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced Section 301 Tariffs on September 17, 2018. Many of the products burton + BURTON?sells are affected by this round of tariffs. The initial increase, which went into effect on September 24, 2018, is set at a 10% incremental rate. It is expected to rise to 25% on January 1, 2019.?To help offset some of these fees, burton + BURTON will implement an average of a 5% price increase on most imported hard goods on October 15, 2018. For clarity, balloon pricing is not affected. Please note: the information shared above is based on known facts as of October 12, 2018. Prices will be subject to change if additional tariffs are assessed.
