Newsletter 3rd February 2020We’ve had a good week celebrating the year of the rat. Chinese New Year is a great opportunity to open up the children’s world. There are so many elements to it, from the story and animals, music and dance, mark making and symbols, role play, creating and trying new foods.We wanted to let you know that after nearly 12 years Nicky Lindley is leaving us to take some time out to do some travelling with her husband. Nicky has always loved exploring new places and after her daughter went to work in the Far East, she got the bug. Lots of you will know Nicky from when she ran the toddler group in Great Hale, as a Lives First Responder as well as working with numerous children over the years. We want to thank her for all the hard work she has put in, staff and children alike will miss her and we hope she will come back and tell us all about her adventures.We have recruited a Level 3 Practitioner to take on Nicky’s role. Lisa McClintock currently works in the Early Years Department at St Hugh’s school in Woodhall Spa. She will be joining us after half term.We are still looking for plain pillowcases, clothes pegs, little chairs or any items you think could spark interest. Thanks to those who have donated items.Could everyone please check if they have any of our socks at home, we have lost 36 pairs! They are generally plain grey, white or black.
