ACTIVITY WRITE UP 2: Baking Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sequence/Directions (Details of how a to move through the activity from start to finish)

1. Gather supplies and pre-heat oven to 350˚

2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in small mixing bowl

3. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in large mixing bowl until creamy.

4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition

5. Gradually beat in flour mixture

6. Stir in chocolate morsels

7. Drop the dough mixture by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets ½” apart.

8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown

9. Using oven gloves, take out of the oven, and cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely
