May 18, 2020Dear Students, Parents and Families of the Sierra Lakes Elementary School Community, On Friday, May 22nd, from 8:00 – 11:00 am, Sierra Lakes will be distributing two different items:Kindergarten and 1st Grade Book PacksThe educational company, Scholastic, has donated books to all Kindergarten and 1st grade students in the FUSD… so they are free. All that you need to do is drive by Sierra Lakes and pick them up. A short survey will also accompany the packets. Each packet contains books with the following titles:Kindergarten…Safari, by Gail Tuckman and National Geographic Kids Lola Loves Stories, by Anna McQuinnCity Shapes, by Dianna MurrayFamily Guide to Literacy, by Scholastic and Yale Child Study Center1st Grade…Dinosaurs, by Kathy Zoehfeld and National Geographic KidsPass the Ball, Mo!, by David AlderWonder Horse, by Emily McCullyFamily Guide to Literacy, by Scholastic and Yale Child Study CenterEnd of the Year Learning Packets (by grade level, K-5)The packets are the End of the Year Offline Distance Learning Packets that contain choice boards and games. They are similar in format to those that were initially handed out in April. They are intended for students who do not have access to technology and the internet. They can be used for the remainder of the school year and throughout the summer.As you pull up to Sierra Lakes, there will be two stations. The first station will be for Kindergarten and 1st Grade Book Packs. The second station will be for picking-up the End of the Year Learning Packets.
