School Stats

▪ Approximately 600 Preschool – grade 12 students.

▪ Average class size is 18 in elementary school and 17 in high school.

▪ Approximately 50 students in a graduating class.

Academic Stats

▪ Every subject taught from a Christian Worldview.

▪ Bible classes taught at every grade level.

▪ Chapels begin in Kindergarten. Students attend two chapels weekly.

▪ Trips connected to curriculum: Gettysburg and Stratford Shakespearean Theatre.

▪ Capstone Trips: 8th Grade trip to Chicago, Senior Survival and Senior Trip to Washington D.C.

▪ During any given year, ACT comparison scores rank LCS at or second from the highest as compared to all other local high schools.

▪ Nearly 100% of graduates go on to some form of post secondary education.

Graduates study at community college, state universities and private universities.

▪ Eight AP classes are offered including: English Literature, Spanish, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Calculus, Statistics, and US. History.

▪ All Curriculum textbooks are listed on the LCS website.

▪ Academic clubs start in elementary school and continue to high school. Some examples include: HS Science Olympiad, MS Math Counts, Elementary Academic Games, and Math-o-rama.

▪ Spanish taught in grades K-12.

▪ Fine Arts: Choir and Band concerts, District and State Choir Festivals, MS & HS Musicals, Art contests and Student Worship Teams.

Athletic Stats

▪ LCS offers the following sports:

o Boys’ soccer, golf, basketball, baseball, bowling, tennis, track, and cross country.

o Girls’ golf, soccer, basketball, tennis, softball, track, cross country, volleyball, and cheerleading.

▪ Co-op Opportunities: Football, girls’ water polo, girls’ and boys’ swimming/diving, and ice hockey.

▪ Club Sport options: Downhill skiing/snowboarding.

▪ Athletics begin with parent-led sports programs in elementary school. School sports teams begin in 7th grade.

▪ Summer sports camps are offered for elementary, middle and high school students.

Social Opportunity Stats

▪ Service Week: Freshman and sophomore students spend three days in the community doing service projects.

▪ Service Hours: High school students are required to complete 20 service hours to help develop community citizenship.

▪ Spiritual Spring Break opportunities: High school mission trip. Most recent mission trip was to Guatemala.

▪ Homecoming in the winter includes a homecoming court and homecoming festivities.

▪ Spirit Week: High school students compete by grade level to present various projects.

▪ Spring Junior and Senior Banquet.

▪ Spring and Fall Festivals.

▪ Each elementary class participates in service-learning.
