Angels and stars everywhere.... Our December meeting of Messy Church provided great fun with all the children producing their own Christmas decorations. The children go home feeling so proud of the crafts they have made and their creations are a reminder of the fun events at Messy Church and the Christian values they learn about.

January was an opportunity for the children (and some parents) to get really Messy in a gooey jelly 'sin bin'. Behind the fun was the theme of Jesus' Baptism and the children made edible candles, clay doves and puffy paint hearts. In lent we made cross pictures with chalk

February we painted an Altar cloth using our hand prints foot mural and in April had an egg hunt and

a colouring competition. At at our ‘Fruits of the Spirit’ session in June we thought about the role of patience and self control in our lives; as we made spinning tops from CD’s, crafted paper flowers and had great fun playing with our handmade cup and ball games. In July, we made loom bracelets for Jesus, sowed seeds and made bird food and had fresh fruit for our snack.

September we explored the story of Noah, making decorated rain sounding tubes, clay animals and a jigsaw painting of Noah’s Ark. At Christmas we made Nativity scenes.
