I got my "Boss" as my Secret Santa recipient at work this past Christmas. Luckly, I had already purchased this pretty book with great photos. After reviewing the recipes, I prepared a couple of

simple food items from the book that would keep (thyme croutons and salad dressing). Place them in a basket with the book, a note and bottle of my favorite wine, Le Crema, and "Wha-La" a great personal gift, The book is a show case of ideas.

These Williams-Sonoma books have always been good but the newer editions are better because in addition to the menu, they also provide a work plan. I made the entire Italian Christmas dinner almost without a hitch (had trouble finding squid and had to improvise with octopus). But wow - it was amazing.

I purchased this book several years ago and then it disappeared from my cookbook shelf! After searching a few years it finally occurred to me that I could probably find a used from , which I did. I'm so glad to be reunited with it again. The best Christmas Eve ever I hosted was inspired by this book. Excellent recipes and preparation ideas from each themed section.

Nice holiday book--always love Williams Sonoma books. This one probably has lots of stuff I would never make, but some cool things as well.
