LO: To create a musical riff

A riff is a repeated pattern that is often found in pop or rock songs.

Examples of riffs: We Will Rock You & Sweet Child o’ Mine

Type into google: chrome band lab

This will work on a PC/Laptop and Ipad/Iphone

Move your mouse or finger in the boxes this will show and sound different pitches of notes.

Try writing this first to help you understand how to use chrome band lab.

Once you feel confident start to create your own riff. Just a reminder a riff is short pattern that is repeated so try not to make it too complicated.

Finally at the bottom of the screen you may wish to add a drum pattern.

Finally listen to your riff and drum pattern.

Try composing lots of different riffs and drum patterns.
