[Pages:2]Myth: Many customers believe that there is a difference in the amount paid for water and sewer services between Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Reality: The actual amount paid by customers in both jurisdictions is about the same, with Baltimore County paying slightly more under the current rates.

While each jurisdiction sets their own rates, City residents receive a monthly bill for all water and sewer charges. County residents receive quarterly bills for water usage only; they are billed separately on their annual tax bill for additional water costs and for all sewer services. Baltimore City is then reimbursed by Baltimore County.
