We invite you to participate in various City-funded volunteer, internship, and job

opportunities that are offered throughout the year and during the summer!

Who is a Dreamer?

A Dreamer is an undocumented immigrant youth who was brought to the U.S. as a child.

¡°Chicago is a city that was built by immigrants, and I am committed to ensuring that Dreamers

have the same opportunities offered by the City to all of Chicago¡¯s youth. We will open our doors

to support talented young people who are committed to their education, building their job skills,

and bettering their communities.¡±

Volunteer and Internship Positions with the City of Chicago

? Over 500 volunteer and internship opportunities for high school and college students throughout the year.

? Students will have the opportunity to work with City Departments and the Mayor¡¯s Office.

Mayor¡¯s Office Fellowships with the City of Chicago

? Fellowships to graduate and undergraduate students interested in learning about City government and public policy.

? Provides an in-depth view of how City government operates.

? Fellows will have the opportunity to: work directly with the Mayor¡¯s senior staff, research policies and evaluate

their potential benefit to Chicago, and much more!

Summer Jobs, Internships and Training Programs

? One Summer Chicago (OSC) connects young people to over 22,000 summer

jobs, internships and training programs being offered throughout the City.

? Through OSC, young adults have the opportunity to learn job skills, develop

their resumes and explore career interests.
