Rule 1.30(b) of the Rules of Practice for the Eighth Judicial District Court of the State of Nevada ("EDCR") charges the Chief Judge of the Eighth Judicial District Court ("EJDC") with various responsibilities, such as supervising the administrative business of the EJDC, ensuring the quality and continuity of its services, supervising its calendar, reassigning cases

as convenience or necessity requires, assuring the court's duties are timely and orderly

performed, and otherwise facilitating the business of the EJDC.

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, pursuant to Rule 1.30(b), that Department 18's entire

caseload shall be reassigned to Department 9, effective January 7 ,2019.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, pursuant to Rule 1.30(b), that Department 9's

criminal caseload and Department 17's civil caseload shall be reassigned to Department 18, effective January 7,2019, and Department 18 shall replace Department 9 in Track 3 of the Criminal Case Flow Model.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, pursuant to Rule 1.30(b), that Department 17 shall

replace Department 9 on the Homicide Team, effective January 7,2019.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, pursuant to Rule 1.30(b), that all time computation

writs shall be reassigned from Department 7 to Department 10, effective January 7 , 2019 .

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, pursuant to Rule 1.30(b), that all competency cases

shall be reassigned from Department 9 to Department 7, effective January 14,2019.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, pursuant to Rule 1.30(b), that overflow calendar

responsibilities shall be reassigned from Department 10 to Department29, effective January 14,2019.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, pursuant to Rule 1.30(b), that EJDC Administration shall publish the list of cases affected by the aforementioned reassignments on the EJDC

website and shall further publish an updated Criminal Case Flow Model.
