WDSO broadcasts throughout the entire week including Saturdays and Sundays with weather updates overnight and on weekends. If you are unable to hear us on your radio, WDSO also streams on the internet at duneland.k12.in.us/wdso.

WDSO PROGRAMMING FOR 2017 – 2018
MUSIC SHOWS Monday - Friday
6 am – 3 pm One hour programs with the top songs on the charts. Mix of new and older rock music including
Classic Rock of the 70’s, 80’s and rock of the 90’s and 2000’s.
3 pm – 4 pm and/or 4 – 5 pm Afterschool Request/DJ Choice Shows. One hour programs weekdays with various DJ’s playing
their favorite music.
4 or 5 pm – midnight Friday evening, Saturday & Sunday through Monday at 6 am. Continuous music with a mix
of top songs on the charts and older music of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and early 2000’s.
NEWS Weekdays: Monday – Friday
6:30 am, 7 am & 7:30 am then every hour on the ½ hour with the last newscast at 3:30 p.m. Includes local
and state news, sports and weather with Radio 2 students as local reporters.
Overnight weather updates – Monday through Thursday from approximately 4 pm through 6 am the next morning
and over the weekend.
SPORTS Live coverage of CHS Sports Play-by play action. Selected home games. Includes Football,
Boys’ & Girls’ Basketball. Coverage of some away & post-season games.

Melinda’s Garden Moment - 8 am (1 min) - Gardening Tips from nationally known gardening expert, Melinda Myers.
On The Money Minute – 8:45 am A :60 feature with helpful financial tips.
Profile America – 12:45 pm A 60-second feature with information about America, its people and its
economy. Provided by the U.S. Census Bureau.
Sound Beat - 11:45 am A 90-second feature with the history of recorded sound from the Belfer Audio Archive at Syracuse University, one of the largest sound archives in the United States.

Naturally Speaking (3rd Tuesday) – 10:15 am and 2:15 pm Hosts; Naturalists from the Indiana Dunes
National Lakeshore. Includes highlights of upcoming events at the park.
Indiana State Police Road Show (every Tuesday) at 12 noon Host: Public Information Officers from the Indiana State Police Indianapolis post. Topics are items of public safety and concern.
CHS Weekly Report – (every Wednesday) 7:15 am & 12:15 pm Hosts: CHS Principal and Assistant Principals. Guests
are CHS students involved in a variety of activities at the high school.
Porter County Perspective – (every Thursday) 4 – 4:30 pm Host: WDSO News Director. Talk show focusing on various topics of interest to Porter County residents including pre-election and election coverage.
Historically Speaking – (1st Thursday) 9:02 am & 12:00 pm Host: Serena Ard, Curator of the Westchester Township
History museum. Includes a monthly historical trivia topic, upcoming programs at the museum and “History Spotlight” featuring a topic in Westchester Township history. Monthly guests from the museum or the Westchester
Public Library to discuss new exhibits or programs at the museum or library.
Pet Talk – (2nd Thursday) 9:00 am and 12:00 pm Hosts: Veterinarians from Arbor View Animal Hospital.
Advice on how to care for pets of all kinds.
Artful Conversations – (3rd Thursday) 9:02 am and 12:00 pm Host: Chris Acton, Publicist for the
Chesterton Art Center. Includes information about Art Center exhibits, classes and upcoming events with a monthly guest discussing the month’s featured topic concerning the art center.
Statehouse Review – Airs after the 12:30 news Mondays only when the Indiana Legislature is in session. A Network Indiana reporter brings you a 3-minute update on legislative happenings – bills, resolutions, statehouse developments & more.
DONOR ANNOUNCEMENTS - On-air acknowledgements of the donation made to a non-
commercial, educational radio station.
These announcements can include only: business’s name, location, type of product or
service you deal in and any slogan connected with your business’ name.
Your business’ name will be announced once during a program of 15 minutes or less ( ex. – Newscast.) For
programs of one hour, it will be announced twice (ex. – Daytime Music Show. For programs airing for two
hours, it will be announced at least three times (at the beginning, the middle and the end.)
For sports broadcasts, announcements will be made at the beginning, the end and after each quarter for football
and basketball.
Announcements will run approximately starting November 1, 2018 and ending October 31, 2019 and are TAX DEDUCTIBLE!
