|Process Summary: Eye protection is an integral part of staff protection against droplet transmission of viral particles. Goggles or face shields/visors are required personal protective equipment (PPE) used in |

|Droplet & Contact and Airborne (includes AGMPs) Precautions. Goggles need to be cleaned to be available for re-use. |

|Objective: To protect staff, goggles are disinfected for re-use. Disinfection of goggles should occur when goggles are shared between staff and/or between patient encounters. To preserve supply, all reusable |

|goggles are disinfected and made available for reuse as quickly as possible. |
