| 14. General Summary of Function/Purpose of Position |

|Performs and oversees a variety of janitorial, custodial and/or security tasks to maintain clean and safe building grounds. Includes maintaining safety and |

|security records and general maintenance logs. Works under the direction of administrative staff to prepare the building and grounds for public use. Duties |

|include cleaning mirrors, windows, doors, restrooms, mopping, vacuuming floors, mopping floors, emptying trash and recycle bins. Performs maintenance tasks |

|such as painting, cleaning light covers, replacing light bulbs, furniture repair, minor wall and flooring repairs, basic electrical and plumbing maintenance |

|including those involving exhibits. Outside maintenance will include, weeding, planting and litter pick up. Candidate will prepare all rooms for the general |

|public use. Candidate is responsible for keeping accurate and current maintenance logs and maintaining an inventory of supplies/materials/tools. Responsible |

|for securing the building including locking windows and doors. Creates and administers daily, monthly, quarterly and annual maintenance inspections and |

|tracking including but not limited to carpet shampooing, exterior window washing, floor finishing, wall, toilet and sinks. Must have a pleasant demeanor and |

|excellent customer service as this person will be interacting with the public during the course of each workday. Cleaning work within the casino and Flynn |

|event buildings will be part of the daily duties of both positions. |

|Duty 1 |

|General Summary of Duty 1 35% of Time |

|Daily cleaning/maintenance of Belle Isle Park’s building and grounds. |

|Individual tasks related to the duty. |

|Clean and check floors and stairways, sinks, toilets; vacuum, mop, sweep throughout the day. |

|Clean restrooms throughout the day: incudes: mirrors, counters, doors, floors, sink, urinals, toilets, stall walls, doors. |

|Clean interior windows – all floors exterior windows (as needed). |

|Dust, polish and clean sinks, toilets, counters. |

|Arrange/re-arrange furniture in Flynn conference rooms when needed. |

|Remove trash and recyclables from restrooms, office and general white house administration areas – keep receptacles clean. |

|Maintain a current and detailed cleaning schedule of hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual cleaning duties which would include, but not be |

|limited to, washing walls, shampooing carpet, buffing floors, and weeding. |

|Maintain an inventory of necessary cleaning supplies, tools and equipment. |

|Maintenance and repair - both performing and tracking these duties |

|Maintain a current and detailed maintenance log and perform those duties by a weekly schedule of hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual |

|maintenance duties as they relate to: |

|Restroom filters. |

|HVAC filters and the HVAC system within the Flynn building, bus stop restroom. |

|Replacing all light bulbs. |

|Addressing minor electrical and plumbing problems. |

|Wall repair as needed, signage repair. |

|Carpet replacement only in the white house administration building if needed. |

|Refers any major repairs to the appropriate employee. |

|Duty 3 |

|General Summary of Duty 3 15% of Time |

|Maintains security of buildings and grounds. |

|Individual tasks related to the duty. |

|Opens and closes all restrooms daily – checks to ensure the building is clear and all appropriate doors and windows are locked, or unlocked, as needed. |

|Refers any needed repairs to the appropriate supervisor. |

|Loading and unloading of deliveries. |

|Individual tasks related to the duty. |

|Accepts deliveries and provides proper disbursement of deliveries to staff for storage. |

|Assist with the loading and unloading of supplies for DNR staff. |

|Other related work as assigned. |

|Oversee STW’s or other work program maintenance staff and/or volunteers on a seasonal basis. That may be assigned to you to assist with cleaning restrooms. |

|Daily proper maintenance prevents accidents/injuries to the public and the staff |

|Establishing and conducting all of the routine checks for maintenance and safety. The public and the staff are protected by these actions. |

|Selected candidate must be able to clean, maintain and provide clean restrooms to Belle Isle Park along with the grounds. Selected candidate must be able to |

|lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to take direction and then work independently to set up and clean up facility as needed. Must be |

|able to track inventory, provide routine safety checks and assigned maintenance tasks. |

|Belle Isle Park provides park usage to 4 million visitors yearly. It has a strong law enforcement presence on the island, we employ 40 seasonal summer staff |

|and 6 park rangers. The park provides restrooms for public use and other visitor attractions. |

|EXPERIENCE: |

|One year of experience in the care and cleaning of buildings. |

|Knowledge of standards methods, practices, tools and equipment used to clean buildings and furniture. |

|Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations. |

|Knowledge of building and property security procedures. |
