Edmodo is a beneficial tool for the teachers to collaborate in professional learning communities and also post notes, assignments, quizzes and polls to students.What is Edmodo Sync?Edmodo sync is a process used to automatically create teacher and student accounts based on information in PowerSchool. This process happens daily so that changes are quickly made within the Edmodo platform. What can I use Edmodo for?You can:? Send daily reminders to teachers, students and parents of upcoming events with attached links/ flyers using the notes features.? Post important dates and activities in a school wide calendar/planner.? Have parents receive school information to their telephones via telephone alerts and text messages (push notifications).? Celebrate school wide successes (student of the month, fundraising events, etc.).Do teachers and students need to create accounts?No, teachers and students do not need to create Edmodo accounts. Their accounts are automatically created for them based on the information in PowerSchool.Do existing parents need to create new accounts every year? No, existing CSUSA parent accounts will rollover each year. Parent accounts that are already matched to a student(s) will automatically be linked to any groups the student is a member of. Teachers log into their account in two ways:Office 365 Login via Edmodo:Please go to Click on LoginThen, Click on ‘Log in with Office 365’The first time a teacher does this, they will be prompted to link their Office 365 and Edmodo accounts. Then in future visits, teachers only need to enter their Office 365 credentials, and they will be logged right into Edmodo.Clever Login via Edmodo:Please go to Click on LoginThen, Click on “Log in with Clever”Default credentials: Username: CSUSA email addressPassword: csusa_appleHow do I merge teacher accounts?**This is only applicable to teachers who created a personal account that they would like linked to their school domain account.Upon initial login, Edmodo will prompt you to link an existing Edmodo account with the Sync account. You will then enter the information from your old Edmodo account and click “Link my accounts” to complete the linking process. Should teachers need a school code?No, teachers should not need a school code. With the automatic sync the school and teacher accounts are created automatically, eliminating the need for a school code.What do I do if I notice an issue with students in my account?Submit a CSUSA Education help ticket with the sub category Edmodo and the issue will be resolved or a solution offered.Once a teacher is established as a School Admin, can they assign other teachers to be school admin per school request?Yes, the school admin assigned to the school can change a teacher to have school admin privileges.Is there a limit to the number of school admin that can be assigned to a school?No, you can assign as many teachers as necessary at your school. Can parents post on the school page?No, parents cannot post directly to the school page. However, they do have the ability to message the teacher directly.Can students post on their class pages?Students are initially set as read only. When classroom rules and expectations for Edmodo are established the teacher can toggle read only to the off position and set students to contributors. However, teachers need to constantly monitor what students are posting. What do we do if a student and/or parent is still showing up on my teacher page even though they have left the school?This is sync related and will need to be handled by submitting a CSUSA Education help ticket. Please include the parent and students name in the help ticket.What do we do if a teacher who has left the school is still showing up as part of the school directory?This is sync related and will need to be handled by submitting a CSUSA Education help ticket. Please include the teachers name in the help ticket. Also include the name of the teacher who will be taking over that group to ensure that they are switched to the existing group and a new one is not created.What are teacher badges?Teacher badges are used as “virtual stickers”. They are recognition for the great things teachers are doing with Edmodo.Can teachers give badges to students?Yes, teachers can create badges for students and give them out as a reward or incentive.Does Edmodo have an App available?Yes, Edmodo has a mobile app available for download. Utilizing the app will give you the ability to have Edmodo available at your fingertips in the classroom.Why are my login credentials not working?Please ensure you are using the e-mail assigned to you in PowerSchool. If that still is not working, trying using the opposite way which you tried to log in initially.
