POSITION DESCRIPTIONJob Title: Client Relationship ManagerDepartment: Grower ServicesLocation: VariousReports to: General Manager – Grower ServicesROLE OBJECTIVETo build, maintain and improve the relationship between Seeka and its growers, by giving consistent and clear communications, and appropriate guidance to ensure the best possible harvest outcomes for both Seeka and its growers.KEY RESPONSIBILITY: Pre Harvest OperationsDUTIES?Assist growers with risk pool selectionAssist in communicating any policy changes including Seeka Grower Policy Orchard preseason assessments/obtaining relevant crop estimation data and reject dataInterfacing Kiwigreen/ Pest monitoring information with growersAdvise growers on orchard preparation for harvest and communicate conditions to Post HarvestWorking with Post Harvest Management on technical and planning teams to ensure region assigned crop capacity?KEY MEASURABLES?All communications are clear and timely ensuring growers are aware of any changes and their impact for the coming season Crop estimates are completed as accurately as possible and in a timely mannerKEY RESPONSIBILITY: Harvest Operations??DUTIES?Actively foster and encourage growth of picking services??Monitor picking performance and liaise with both grower and Packhouse Manager?Management of the harvest programme to ensure harvest efficiencies maintained?Manage/co-ordinate assigned growers KPIN maturity results to ensure all orchards are cleared and processed in a timely mannerWork with regional staff to set harvest line ups – Alert appropriate level of management to any risk issues ?KEY MEASURABLESPicking service levels meet business plan?Coordinated harvest line ups achieve the best outcome for the grower and Seeka KEY RESPONSIBILITY: Packing OperationsDUTIESManage / facilitate the relationship between Post Harvest, Harvest, Central Harvest team, Picking Contractors and the Grower dealing with grower issues as the ariseFacilitate the reporting of results to the grower Work with Inventory managers to monitor storage and drawdownEnsure good communication of packing of UFI lines Coordinate the hosting of grower site visits (both main pack and UFI) KEY MEASURABLES?Is visible in post-harvest facilities ensuring communications are clear around grower site visitsOwnership is taken for the reports to the grower, which are accurate and timelyKEY RESPONSIBILITY: Relationship Development & Procurement??DUTIES?Build and maintain working relationships and good communication with all clients??Maintain an accurate client database to include potential clients?Set up a communication programme which enables ongoing discussion and promotion of business to growers. Concerns are identified and managed as appropriate??Assist with kiwifruit & kiwiberry promotions and advertising programmes to further enhance crop procurement and build client base?Participate in industry related conferences, events and field days and communicate to growers?Manage procurement programme which ensures growth in? annual crop volumes??Client responsibility lists?Ensure an up to date understanding of Seeka Growers Policy, Seeka’s performance, pool positions and performance comparisons across the industrySupport growers and communicate and update growers on industry protocols and practice Proactively obtain grower commitment and signup to supply contractPromoting lease and management agreements?KEY MEASURABLES?Growers are kept informed of available services and industry issues?which ensures good client satisfaction levels, retention and growthProactively seeks opportunity for procurement??and achieved growth targets?KEY RESPONSIBILITY: Technical & Administrative??DUTIES?Ensure the management of technical services improve fruit quality and pack out rates??Maintaining technical information for resource library??Assist in the preparation of? annual packing proposal??Any other duties as reasonably required??KEY MEASURABLES?Information is accurate and provided in a timely manner?Suggestions are made on how to improve the technical services offered?TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED??Numeracy: Experience working with and a good?understanding of numerical or financial information?Industry knowledge:?Experience working within?kiwifruit, horticulture or primary industry???New business development and increasing annual crop volumesManagement of kiwifruit harvest programmes and monitoring picking performanceUnderstanding of technical services, and the ability to communicate information to growersRole specific knowledge:?4 + years in a similar role or equivalent experience?Tertiary level qualification in a relevant field, or the equivalent practical experience Experience in business development a promotional programmesSoftware/Technology:?Previous experience using software and other computer based technology either in Seeka specific programmes or using a similar software platform??Microsoft Office Suite:?IntermediateData Analysis:?Experience?extracting?useful information and translating?it into actionable?objectives??PERSONAL ATTRIBUTESIStrong verbal and interpersonal skills: Able to communicate clearly and effectively and at the appropriate level with various types of people (i.e. with senior managers, colleagues and the public).??Leadership/Influencing others: Can articulate a common vision and provide others with a sense of direction.
