The Client Relationship Manager (CRM) will become the principle APS contact for each client in their nominated territory. The CRM function ensures that each client is being maintained and supported by APS appropriately and they are making the most from their investment in APS.

The CRM is responsible for documenting the clients APS future requirements, which outlines the tasks or projects that they wish to undertake over the next period of time. The CRM should always maintain a big picture view for each client and look to the opportunities for the client in the future

Each CRM is expected to maintain a regular visitation program with their client base with appropriate levels of focus on the various grades of clients within the allocated base. The CRM will work closely with the other client facing teams within APS in particular the Business Development and Consulting teams.

From time to time clients will also have requirements outside the items identified in their software plan and will need assistance to deal with those requests or concerns. The CRM will be responsible for the management of those tasks and forwarding them through the appropriate channels within APS to their logical completion. Each CRM will ensure they have constant contact points within the client's business to all levels of management where possible.

The CRM is responsible for qualifying and generating sales opportunities for the sales force in existing clients. The CRM is not responsible for selling new product into the clients businesses rather identifying the need for software and advising the sales team accordingly. The CRM will also be responsible for generating regular consulting work, this requirement will mostly come as an outcome of regular client contact. As a logical outcome of this requirement each CRM will be required to gain a solid understanding of the APS suite of products and their business objectives

The CRM will maintain all relevant details about their clients in the internal APS database, including scheduled visits and copies of agreed plans and other tasks.

The CRM may also need to be involved in various marketing activities involving their client base and other client related activities when appropriate. This role does involve regular travel within the client base and interstate from time to time when required.
