As a thriving, student-centered college with graduation rates double the national two-year college average and triple the Massachusetts two-year college average, Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology seeks an innovative and highly motivated Client Services Coordinator who will be an entrepreneurial part of the Strategic Partnership team and a passionate advocate for students. This role will actively lead and contribute to institution-wide efforts to build even stronger graduation, retention, and career placement rates of our student body. The Client Services Coordinator will support and report to the Director of Strategic Partnerships with managing a robust portfolio of external clients who pay BFIT to provide training to learners via fee-for-service contracts. including those who enter the college under our Professional Studies program. The person in this position must collaborate closely with all members of the senior leadership team, with faculty, as well as colleagues on the Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, and Enrollment Management teams of the college.

Job description for Coordinator of Client Services – Strategic Partnerships

• Gather market research profiles on partnership prospect organizations and key personnel and marketplace competitors. In coordination with the Director of Strategic Partnerships, help uncover new city, state, and corporate revenue partnership opportunities for BFIT. As BFIT looks to build a new campus and roll-out its strategic plan, increasing industry partnerships will play a major role in our long-term planning and success.

• Diligently coordinate and fulfil all aspects of post-sales contractual logistics and technical assistance to aid in the stewardship of clients to the point of renewal. Under the direction of the Director of Strategic Partnerships, work with a wide variety of teams throughout BFIT including IT, Student Success, Business Office, Academics, Admissions and Registrar’s departments. Partner with Director of Strategic Partnerships to resolve client inquires, reports, requests, and issues.

• Play a key role in on-boarding new industry partnership student cohorts. Act as a key liaison between Strategic Partnerships, the Student Success team and external vendors in terms of advising and assisting students in Strategic Partnerships cohorts.

• Join the Director of Strategic Partnerships on weekly client update calls. Handle follow-up as requested.

• Maintain Strategic Partnerships contacts in a database of industry contacts including entering contact reports and meeting notes to track relationship development. Manage mass mailings from Constant Contact to industry partnerships such as e-newsletters, holiday cards, virtual event invitations.

• Using databases such as Burning Glass and other tools, pull data and create reports as needed and assist in grant and proposal writing required to land new business.

• Assist in writing City and State grant proposals. Upon receiving funding for such grants, help project manage the funding, grant deliverables and reporting required as part of the grant.

• Play a key role in managing the Industry Partnership Committee comprised of board and industry contacts.

• Partner with the Director of Strategic Partnerships, Marketing Coordinator and Designer to create and manage a portfolio of marketing materials for BFIT’s Industry Partnership business including electronic one-sheets, social media updates, bi-monthly newsletter, industry partnership testimonials and web site.

• Help develop a small portfolio of industry outreach virtual BFIT events for current students as well as alumni.

• Act as a resource to the Director of Curriculum Development & Assessment to coordinate the Industry Advisory Boards for priority Strategic Partnerships academic programs.

• Provide support in special projects and other duties as assigned

Key Competencies:

• 2 years of experience in account management, customer service, business development or marketing.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills to ensure success with internal team members

• Efficient and persistent follow-up and project management skills (relative to internal teammates)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Self-starter, but with the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• High level of energy, enthusiasm, and motivation

• Affinity for working in a demanding, fast-paced environment

• Strong work ethic

• Exceptional attention to detail

• High aptitude with Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of database management, InDesign, and Adobe products

Salary range: $50,000 to $58,000 based on experience and qualifications.
