THE SCOUTER’S

REFERENCE

ROOM

_____________________________________________________________________________________

Sometimes even the most dedicated of us cyber-junkies can’t find everything we want on the World Wide Web and have to resort to a quick trip to the library to find additional resources for program ideas. Over the last year a number of Scouters who participate in the Scouts-L discussion group have suggested several useful books that may be of interest to other Scouters. Some of the material is published by BSA, but most is from private publishers. Some of the information may be incomplete, but hopefully will be sufficient enough to allow you to find the book in a local library. And if you can’t find this book in a library, you may be able to use one of bookfinders available on the World Wide Web. Another source for game and team-building books is Project Adventure, P. O. Box 100, Hamilton, MA 01936 Telephone (508)-468-7981 Fax (508)-468-7605.

This listing is by no means exhaustive and suggestions are always welcome. Thanks to the many Scouters who suggested these books and other items I have been able to compile this listing. Finally, I should add that inclusion of a book on this list does not indicate that either the Boy Scouts of America, USSSP, or I have endorsed the book or its contents.
