Cuando Era Niño Project

DUE: Tuesday, January 17, 2016 (by 11:59p.m.)

You will create a PowerPoint presentation with sound and pictures talking about what you were like as a child. All projects must be submitted to Google Classroom by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, January 17th. Late projects will be deducted 15 points per day.

Requirements:

• 1 Title slide – “Cuando era niño/a”, class period, Spanish name/last name

• 10 slides - 1 sentence in Spanish per slide (white or very light colored background)

• 10 different verbs in the imperfect tense (Change the font colors for the verbs!)

o Ir, ser, and ver (RED)

o 3 –ar verbs (GREEN)

o 3 –er/-ir verbs (BLUE)

o 1 of your choice (-ar, -er or –ir) (ORANGE)

• 15 different vocabulary words from 4A (UNDERLINE these words!) You cannot use any new vocabulary on this project unless preapproved by me.

• 1 picture per slide (picture or clip art)

• 5 different imperfect expressions (ex: Todos los días, generalmente, a veces, etc.) (BOLD and BLACK)

• If you use an online translator or a friend to do this project, a grade of ZERO will be given.

At home or in school library/computer lab (with access to PPT):

• Open Google Slides project and save as a PPT in order to record sound (see directions below)

• Record yourself reading aloud all the sentences on each slide

• Turn in PPT presentation to Google Classroom! (Make sure you turn in the one with sound and NOT your original Google Slides presentation.)

Directions for recording sound in PowerPoint:

• Click on the slide where you want to add sound.

• Go to Insert and click on Sound

• Scroll down to Record Sound

• Name the recording: Slide # _____

• Click the red record button and begin recording (you will need a mic)

• Click ok.

• Repeat for each slide. (Play it back to make sure that you have successfully recorded!)

Rubric-This project will count as a 100 point TEST grade and will be graded accordingly:

1 title slide 5 pts

10 slides included 10 pts

10 different verbs in the imperfect 10 pts

15 different vocabulary words 15 pts

5 different imperfect expressions 5 pts

10 pictures (1 per slide) 10 pts

10 sound files (1 per slide) 10 pts

Grammar and mechanics 30 pts

Pronunciation 5 pts
