Exhibit Hall Map Description and Key

MAP DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of the tactile map is to become familiar with the layout of the exhibit hall. The tables on the tactile map are indicated by continued raised dots with the exception of the outermost row that outlines the entire hall and defines the exhibit hall space. There are two squares in the middle of the tactile map that represent the two squares of tables in the hall. A dot in the bottom right corner shows where the first and last numbered tables are located in that square. The table numbers in the squares run in counter-clockwise order.

HALL OVERVIEW:

The Khmer Pavilion Exhibit Hall in the Hilton Anatole of Dallas, Texas, is a rectangle, which has 121 six-foot tables where you will find demonstrations, sales, and giveaways. Exhibitors include NFB divisions and affiliates, convention sponsors, technology companies, federal organizations, and others.

The front of the room where the entrance is located is the south wall. There are two water stations located in the exhibit hall—one located directly to the right of the entrance, and the second against the south wall, between the restrooms. The restrooms are located on the south wall to the right of the southeast entrance if you are facing the south wall. A door to the ladies' room opens on the south wall to the left of the water station; the men's room is the first door on the left inside a corridor to the right of the water station.

Tables are located around an outside ring (placing the vendors’ backs to the walls), and there are two large rectangles in the center of the room. These are called A-Square and B-Square. The A-Square is closest to the south wall and the B-Square is directly above the A-Square, closest to the north wall. The squares' short ends face east and west; their long sides are parallel to Khmer’s north and south walls, and A-Square is nearest to the entrance. Each table in the hall has large print and Braille numbers and table IDs that identify the vendor. Table numbers can be found on both of the front-most corners of each table, and the table IDs are located in the front-most center of each table. The exhibiting sponsor tables are located towards the front of the hall to the left and on the west, south and east sides of the A-square.

ENTRANCE:

The hotel entrance to the pavilion is on the east wall. A water station is on your right just inside this door. Turn right and walk this ramped hallway that parallels the outside hallway and is decorated with Chinese horses on pedestals. You will enter the rectangular Khmer Pavilion at its southeast corner. The long sides are on the east and west walls. If your back is to the entrance, the east wall is on your right. A wide aisle runs straight ahead of you and continues around the four sides of the room with one center aisle running east and west between the two squares. From this entrance, the three exhibit hall information tables (numbers 1, 2, and 3) are immediately on your right against the east wall. To your immediate left are the restrooms and the second water station.
