ASSEMBLY OBJECTIVES:
Winter Symposium courses are designed to provide up-to-date information on issues, topics and new techniques that will help Emergency Physicians improve their practice. The courses are presented by experts selected for their outstanding teaching ability and experience in their field of expertise.
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Winter Symposium courses are offered to professionals involved with Emergency Medicine including Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Paramedics/EMT's.
VIRTUAL FORMAT:
This meeting will run on the Zoom virtual meeting platform. MCEP will be sending the meeting invitation link along with other meeting information via e-mail to attendees the week the conference takes place.
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the Michigan College of Emergency Physicians and Ohio ACEP. The American College of Emergency Physicians is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American College of Emergency Physicians designates this live activity for a maximum of 9 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Approved by the American College of Emergency Physicians for a maximum of 9 hour(s) of ACEP Category I credit.
The Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing education for physicians.

Morning Brew with MCEP
Friday, January 29th, 8:30 – 9:00 a.m.
The first 50 early bird conference registrants will receive a special “swag” box of select coffee beans from Asilynot Coffee Co., a limited edition MCEP coffee mug as well as other special treats. During this morning wake up event, we will feature a guest roast master who will talk about coffee sourcing and bean roasting. If you are an early registrant and are interested in the Morning Brew, please be sure to check the box on the registration form so we know to send you the box to the address you provide.

Michigan Emergency Medicine Foundation (MEMF) Fundraiser
Thursday, January 28th, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
During the Midwest Winter Symposium, we are offering an evening virtual wine and cheese tasting fundraiser. This add-on event will include a box shipped to your home prior to the Symposium containing 2 bottles of wine, one red and one white, chosen by Monger’s Provisions in Detroit, as well as four paired cheeses and a bar of chocolate. The box also contains a description of the wine, cheese and chocolate and will include a link to participate. Most boxes are enough for two people. This sommelier led virtual wine tasting event is one you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home.
Cost for this virtual wine and cheese tasting is $150 with $50 going toward the Foundation. The Michigan Emergency Medicine Foundation (MEMF) awards scholarships to Michigan medical students and residents throughout the year to attend national, statewide, and legislative EM conferences.
