If you are patient and caring, physically strong and genuinely interested in helping people get well, you may find great job satisfaction as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). CNAs are in high demand nationwide and the need is expected to grow more rapidly as the United States population ages.

As a CNA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed or Registered Nurse to provide basic care for patients in hospitals, home health settings, long-term care facilities such as nursing homes, and hospices. Duties can include a wide variety of tasks, from taking vital signs and gathering other patient data to meeting the hygiene needs of patients.

CNAs must be very observant in order to recognize patients' needs. They often work in emergency situations and must be able to remain calm under pressure.

To become a CNA you must complete a stateapproved education program and pass a competency exam. When you earn certification it shows prospective employers that you are committed to being the very best in your profession, willing to work hard, and skilled enough to provide excellent patient care.

At the Standards of Excellence training and certification academy, you will get the training you need to earn state certification as a CNA. Call now to join us for a no-obligation orientation session or arrange a tour of the Academy.
