Hi Everyone,

Hopefully everyone is doing fine and the weather will improve (sunny and warm). Please remember our sick & shut-ins. They always appreciate a card. Our annual Auction is this month. Please bring your items to be auctioned off, also bake goods will be offered for sale. Bring lots of money to buy all the items brought in. We are still having our meetings on Leonard St. at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Hope to see you all there.

Your GRACC President,

Al Preisner

NOTE: As you have seen – we now are meeting at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Muskegon Ave, just off Leonard NW. Due to some concerns of this location, we are asking our members for recommendations for a different meeting place. Keep in mind that it needs to be centrally located due to the wide area our members live in. IF anyone knows of a meeting location, please contact any of the board members or one of the officers.

Extra Newsworthy News

MARCH [pic]

Anyone who attended the March Potluck had a great meal and plenty to eat. After the meal, fixed by some of our best cooks, we had our monthly meeting. A couple of recipes were turned in and they are featured in this newsletter. For those who missed this one, try to come to the Potluck in October.

[pic] April Auction

The Annual Spring Auction is HERE!!! Bring some great goodies to sell and a full wallet to buy other stuff. Let’s make this year the best!! For those who are new to this, bring some items in to sell, maybe you received a gift you didn’t care for or couldn’t use or something that you haven’t used in awhile. It’s always great to ask businesses if they would like to donate something to the club - Gift Certificates, etc. (such as certificates for meals at restaurants, oil change garages, car washes, auto parts stores, etc). We do have letters for businesses for any donations given – if the business would like one. Everyone receives a number at the door, then when the ‘auction’ begins, you just shout out your bid or hold up your number. Good times are had by all!! We will have a short meeting starting at 7:00 pm, with a brief break following; then the fun begins with the auction.

[pic]A Note to the ladies – there will be a “Bake Sale” during the auction, so bring in some goodies to be purchased. Have them tagged with a price for selling. There will be a separate table set up for the baked goods.

Remember, all proceeds from both the Auction and the Bake Sale go to our ‘general fund,’ which helps us provide the services we all enjoy. Come with a carload of goodies to sell and a full wallet to spend.

[pic]REQUEST for VOLUNTEERS

Occasionally we received requests for antique cars for special occasions. Due to insurance costs, the club can’t do these as a paying event. IF you would like to volunteer your car and services, please contact the name given for the event.

Request: *** Hello Grand Rapids Antique Car Club, My name is Jessica Lerch. I am a bride-to-be living in Grand Rapids and my fiance and I would love nothing more than to drive off after our wedding ceremony in an antique automobile.

Sadly, we have had no luck locating a car and driver for our wedding day. I decided to contact your club to see if anyone would be interested in driving us (just the bride and groom) and showing off their car in front of all our guests. Not to mention having it photographed by noted Grand Rapids photographer Mitch Ranger!

The date is June 25th, 2011, the site is in Montague, MI. We are interested in ANY antique car and driver that would be interested in driving us away for about an hour between the ceremony and dinner.

This would be a paid gig and the driver and his or her guest would be welcome for dinner! Please let us know if someone is interested, we would be so grateful! Thank you for your time and have a good day,

-Jessica Lerch - jessica.lerch.zoller@ - 586-292-0613
