Following are their responses: Forgiveness, Loyalty, Patience, Love – No Matter What, Honesty, Don’t Quit on Each Other, and Don’t Let Each Other Down. Something to think about!Their answers are also posted on the wall in the office wing.WE ARE DOING FINE418909540513000 This has been an interesting year for our church family as we have learned how to adjust to not having our own pastor. We have been blessed with a variety of outstanding pastors and lay-ministers to lead our worship services. We have experienced a variety of sermon and leadership styles. All have enriched our worship experience. We encourage you come and enjoy the many facets of ministry.82557239000528955126365ARE YOU A PEWSTER?Pastor Bruce Beyer is an avid sports fan and his sermons contain very interesting and relatable stories. One of our favorite is about a confirmation student that had to fill out sermon notes - very similar to the form our confirmation students complete. But, on their form was also listed “What service did you provide for the church today” i.e. acolyte, usher, greet, or other. Not having been assigned anything to do that Sunday and being very creative the student put “Pewster”. All he did was sit in the pew and listen to the Sunday message and participate in the service. Maybe that is not so bad . . . we could use a few more PEWSTERS!0ARE YOU A PEWSTER?Pastor Bruce Beyer is an avid sports fan and his sermons contain very interesting and relatable stories. Evie was a little unsure at first – but finally was eager toparticipate. 00A WALK THRU THE CHURCH YEAROn Sunday, Nov. 24, Pastor Nicole Behnke-Welke took us through the church year.Stoles surrounded the altar and with the help of our acolytes (Jenna Czerneski and Hazel Mcphail) and Calvary members RJ and Evie Parilek we began to wander thru the church year.RJ was very Proud to wear each stole and hold up the corresponding picture. A Pastoral Statement from Bishop Gerald MansholtEast Central Synod of WisconsinEvangelical Lutheran Church in AmericaAppleton, WisconsinDecember 3, 2019This morning we were shocked to learn that a student and a school resource officer were both injured at Oshkosh West High School.?A similar incident occurred yesterday at a high school in Waukesha.?We grieve that we live in days when violence intrudes so easily into the hallways and classrooms of our schools where precious students, teachers, administrators and staff ought to be able to learn and teach and work in peace and safety.?We pray for all who have been wounded by this incident physically, emotionally, or spiritually.?We pray healing for the student, the resource officer and all who are part of the Oshkosh West High School community.?We surround all who work to make our schools and communities safe with our love, support and care.?I pray that we will also find the courage and wisdom to listen deeply to God and one another as we seek to find ways to address the culture of violence that increasingly belittles and destroys life.?For Christians this is the season of Advent when we await the coming of Jesus, celebrating his birth in Bethlehem and praying his reign of love and mercy within and among us.?We lament what has happened yet again and hold one another in love and peace.?Let us also commit ourselves to walking in the way of life and love.Bishop Gerald MansholtA Note From THE SALVATION ARMYFounded by William Booth in 1865RED Kettle Campaign began on November 14th.
