The 2012 HSR&D/QUERI conference theme “Transforming Veteran Healthcare through Partner-Oriented Research” was chosen to stress the importance of research partnerships in ensuring continuous improvement and optimal delivery of healthcare for Veterans. Therefore, this conference will focus on establishing and maintaining close collaborative relationships between VA program partners and VA researchers, so that research is more responsive to the prioritized needs of the organization and the findings are more likely to be implemented into practice. Target AudienceVA health services researchers, clinicians, policy makers.Outcome/ObjectivesAt the conclusion of the conference, participants should be able to:1. Engage in partnership development around specific research projects that lead to evidence-based innovations to improve healthcare for Veterans.2. Promote effective translation of research findings into evidence-based clinical practices aimed at improving the quality of care for Veterans.3.
