Snacks

Our bodies and brains need energy to keep us going. The kids in our class will take time for a nutritious snack each afternoon. Please do not send peanut products (to avoid allergies) or products high in sugar. The goal of snack time is to feed our brains for the remaining part of the school day. If your child has special dietary needs, please send appropriate snacks for him or her. You may send a snack for your individual child or one for the class to share.

Parties

Our 4th graders will be planning their own parties for Halloween, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day. They will plan the menu and activities. They will also be volunteering for one party. So if you are asked to provide for one party, you will not be expected to do so for another party. You may also attend any or all of our parties! We would love to have you.

Money

On Occasion it will be necessary for your child to bring money to school (lunch money, book order, etc.). Always send money in a sealed envelope with the following information written on it:

1. Child’s first and last name

2. The amount of the money included

3. The purpose for the money

4. My name and room number

I will respond to your message as quickly as possible. I am also willing to set up appointments that fit with your busy schedule. Just ask!

Volunteers

Please know that if you sign up to volunteer on a regular basis, I will be looking forward to putting you to work. I will send out a schedule of times and tasks that I need help with in the coming weeks and start volunteers in October
