2021 UNIVERSITY GRANTS PROGRAM (UGP)
Revised Funding Period February 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022
September 2020 UGP Call for Proposals goes out to all faculty.
November 2, 2020 Deadline to submit application in the InfoReady system.
November 16, 2020 Research Affairs forwards applications to college Dean’s offices.
Please note: All applications must be reviewed by the department chair/school director before submission to the college Dean’s office.
College convenes review committees. Committee forwards rankings to Dean’s office.
December 4, 2020 College Dean’s forwards recommendations to Research Affairs.
December 14, 2020 Research Affairs forwards applications to University Grants and Lectureships Committee (UGLC).
January 8, 2021 UGLC forwards award recommendations to Research Affairs.
Week of January 25, 2021 Notification to awardees. Awardees will be notified of applicable compliance review requirements (i.e., IRB, IACUC, IBC).
February 2021 Award period begins. Start date of project is contingent upon satisfying compliance review requirements (when applicable), see the Research Affairs website for more information.
Funds awarded will not be available until sometime mid- February.
17 Month Funding Period February 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.
July 30, 2022 Final report for 2021 UGP awards due to Research Affairs.
