Writing Your College Application Essay

Offered to Class of 2020 students. The college application process, composing the college essay in particular, can be

overwhelming. This enrichment class is designed to help students write the college essay, generate ideas for short answer

questions and provide an overview of how to address the entire college application. Students will read and critique model

essays, be provided with written feedback on work, have one to one conference time with the course instructor and

complete at least one full essay in five days. Start the college application process by completing the most challenging part

of the application, the essay. You do not have to be a Brighton student to register!

AM Session: 9:00 a.m. ? 12:00 p.m. or PM Session: 12:30 ? 3:30 p.m.

iCanCode Tech Camp

Learn cool 21st century programming skills and enjoy a great tech experience combined with unplugged activities.

Campers (going into grades 3 - 8) build their own games and websites and experience different coding platforms that

incorporate math, physics, art & music while enhancing logical thinking and problem solving. Platforms include Roblox

programming in LUA, Minecraft Modding in Java, Game Design in Scratch, JavaScript and Unity 3D, Web Development in

JavaScript, HTML, CSS and robotics. Campers work on custom lesson plans with qualified coding instructors based on

age, interest & skill level. The first week of camp is July 15 ? 19th. A new session begins each Monday! Brighton residents

receive a $10 fee discount. Located at Brighton High School, 1150 S. Winton Road. Park near Door #20 at the back of the

parking lot and follow the signs for iCanCode Tech Camp!
